What our clients are saying....
I cannot say enough about Tim's coaching over the last year. My lifelong goal was to finish an Ironman and Tim made that possible. He continually monitored my training program so that we can make changes based on my weekly results, fatigue, and goal for the race. And he did this while I was 3,000 miles away! But that's only part of where he shined. Tim was there during the tough times when I had serious doubts about my ability. He carried me through the rough patches, celebrated the highs, and was the first person to greet me at the finish line. I was not only able to finish but finish with a smile on my face! Thanks to Tim, I can say "I'm an Ironman!!"
I have been a client of coach Tim’s now for 5 years and I would highly recommend him to be your coach for many reasons. When I started working with Tim I was an out of shape executive who wanted to find that athlete I knew was hidden in me again. I told him I wanted to be a triathlete and I wanted to complete a full Ironman by the time I turned 60. At the time I was very deathly afraid of the open water, I had just finished the long rehab from a nasty bike accident and had not run in many years. I think most coaches would have either run away or simply smiled and written me off as somebody with outrageous expectations. Tim didn’t, he worked with me to build a plan to enable me to achieve the big goals I had.
Nov 15th, 2015 I completed the Arizona Ironman, I was able to hear Mike Riley say “Louis Burns you are and IRONMAN”! We were able to complete what seemed like a crazy goal 2 years ahead of schedule which is pretty cool. He encouraged me on those tough days when it seemed impossible and he let a bit of air out of my head when I got ahead of myself. Simply put I would not have achieved my goal of completing an Ironman without Tim’s coaching and encouragement.
"From personal experience, I know Tim is a very good coach. I find him patient. He listens to me. He has a fabulous sense of humor. He is a competitive triathlete. He has a good grasp of the mechanics of each of the disciplines; including the strength building exercises associated with swimming, biking and running. And because he coached me to a finish at the hardest Ironman – Lake Tahoe 2013!"
With Tim’s guidance (and well placed catchphrase, “SUCK IT UP, PRINCESS!”)
I achieved both of my 2015 goals (a sub six hour 70.3 and at least one sprint distance podium) and much more!
I completed Ironman Vineman 70.3 in 5:57 and Ironman Santa Cruz 70.3 in 5:45.
Additionally, I made three sprint distance podiums; 2nd at Folsom, 2nd at Tri Amador and 3rd at the Oakland Tri Festival.
You da man, Tim!
Managing a Fortune 500 Company career and training for an Ironman is possible! With Coach Tim's guidance, I finished every distance in triathlon racing including the unparallel achievement of Ironman Canada. Thanks Tim for the long hours and your personal dedication in helping me achieve a lifelong goal!
